With regional playoffs just around the corner we wanted to make a post to clarify how it all works. Do remember there are roster lock dates for the following games, this means you will not be able to change your team’s roster for the remainder of the competition:

Open Division

11/06/2019 Tiebreaker round – Teams tied for top four spots in their group will play on Tuesday evening to clear tiebreakers. You may need to play 2 to 3 games this night depending on the amount of teams tied.

18/06/2019 Play offs / Semifinals – The top 4 teams will play their semi finals match online, this is a best of three series, so you will play up to three games that night. The winners of the semi finals will move on to the regional finals which will be played at the following venues.

  • WA, Escape Portal – 1359 Albany Highway, Cannington 6107 – Saturday 29th of June – 3pm AWST start
  • SA/NT, Northern Sound System – 73 Elizabeth Way, Ezliabeth SA 5112 – Saturday 29th of June – 3pm ACST start
  • NSW, Torrens University Australia Lvl 1, 46-52 Mountain Street Ultimo 2007 – Saturday 29th of June – 3pm AEST start
  • VIC, Torrens University Australia – 196 Flinders Street, Melbourne VIC 3000 – Sunday 30th of June – 3pm AEST start
  • TAS, Cooldown Esports Lounge – level 1/83 Brisbane St, Hobart TAS 7000 – Sunday 30th of June – 3pm AEST start
  • NZ, Media Design School 92 Albert Street, Auckland 1010 – Saturday 6th July – 3pm NZT start

Upon qualifying for the finals we will send through more details with primary point of contact, times and other information for the day.

The champion of each regional finals will play in the championship online rounds and have a shot to play in the championship finals at Melbourne Esports Open.

Beginner division ( These will be played online )

The exception is WA where only teams tied for the top two spots will play each other in tiebreakers, and the two teams will play their grand finals on the 29th June 2019.

29/06/2019 Regional Finals & 3rd Place – A best of three match will be played online to determine prizing and for NZ Beginner which team makes it to the beginner championship rounds.

The top three teams from NZ beginner, top 4 teams from Beginner and top team from Beginner WA group will be invited to play in the beginner championship rounds.
